K Restaurant’s architect was inspired by the Polynesian “fare potee” which was a place of meeting in the Ancient society. This “fare” consisted of wooden posts and a roof made of palm or braided pandanus leaves. The Ancients used ropes to securely bind the poles and the wall-less frame, so that the sea air could circulate freely.
Since 2006, Restaurant K has been the meeting place for gourmets in French Polynesia. Under a spectacular wooden vault of Kahaia (Guettarda speciosa), guests are invited to put their feet in the white sand and to discover the restaurant’s romantic atmosphere.
Taste the cuisine of Chef Guillaume Burlion and the wine pairings of sommelier Fabrice Jarry in an enchanted and intimate atmosphere, on the edge of the calm lagoon of Moorea, facing the twinkling silhouette of Tahiti island at night. The restaurant also hosts monthly Cabaret Evenings which is unique in Moorea.
